The Power of 3D

3D visualization is a powerful way to engage your audience.  Convey the magnitude of a large-scale development project or the smallest detail in your product design. Photorealistic renderings, animated walk-throughs or a mechanical demonstration will enable your viewer to fully appreciate the impact of how a new product can enhance their lives. Manufacturing, production, architecture, real estate, marketing, media, the Internet...all are potential venues for the use of 3D. 

3D visualization surrounds us.  The latest blockbuster or TV show uses state of the art technology to immerse the viewer, drawing them into a visual experience in a way that was not possible a few short years ago.  Likewise, 3D visualization has become a standard service for many smaller production houses such as ours.  Software and hardware only affordable to studios that created mega-blockbusters 10 years ago, is accessible by most boutique agencies who are now able to offer services that rival those of large production houses at a fraction of the cost.

New LevelS of Realism

Our latest showreel shows the production quality today's software is capable of.  The image on the left displays the 3D model, or "geometry" used in creating the animation.  The background is a 360 panoramic High Dynamic Range Image.  The use of "HDRI" has greatly improved the ability of software to create photorealistic renders. 

The computer generated car on the right is from the final color corrected animation.  The ability to define lighting, camera angles, movement, material and texture all within one piece of software allows for the creation of images and animations almost indistinguishable from reality. 

3D for Production and Manufacturing

3D visualization is a compelling way to market your product prior to production.  The process allows for visualization in a context that makes sense to the end user.  Viewing an object in 3D helps the client to see the product "as it is".  These renderings can isolate potential manufacturing issues or design flaws that 2D drawings may not reveal.  This can mean substantial savings in lost production and manufacturing costs down the road.

Electric Media was contracted by FSI International to develop a 3D model of the above skid.  From the provided drawing, a 3D model was constructed. The final result was a series of photorealistic renders and a short animation.  You can view the animation on our demo reel.

Warrior Manufacturing provided a SolidWorks 3D CAD file.  Using custom translation software, the file was converted to native in-house software.  We then proceeded to apply appropriate colors, materials and lighting to the scene.  The final result was a series of photorealistic renders Warrior Manufacturing was able to use in their marketing material.
